With a heavy heart, the School of Business of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) bid a farewell to one of its most senior and dedicated faculty members, Professor Dr. Dilip Kumar Sen on 7th November 2016. The farewell program was held at Lecture Gallery (Room: 3002) at the Business School premise. Professor M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB; Professor Milan Pagon, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business; Deans and Department Heads from different schools along with students thanked Professor Sen in the farewell program for his years long devoted services to IUB. In his speech, the Vice Chancellor of IUB, Professor M. Omar Rahman specifically remembered Professor Sen’s integrity and valued contribution to the university. Professor M. Omar Rahman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Professor Sen for his unconditional commitment to IUB. At the program, the Dean of School of Business, Professor Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed gratefully remembered Professor Sen’s punctuality, originality, and sincerity to School of Business, IUB. Mr. Ashraful Amin, Director, Council Affairs, IUB cherished Professor Sen’s love and affection in conducting classes and shared his experiences with the audience. In the farewell program, the deans and department heads from different schools also graciously thanked Professor Sen for his significant input to IUB. In his speech, Professor Dr. Dilip Kumar Sen lovingly thanked IUB and all the associates he had worked with at this university. Professor Sen’s son Mr. Amitabh Sen also thanked IUB for arranging such a heartwarming farewell program for his father. Professor Sen’s students became affectionate at the program and shared their treasured moments with the audience thanking Professor Sen for his valued lectures. All faculty members from School of Business; other faculty members from different schools, management staffs from different departments and a significant number of students were also present at the program. At the end of the farewell program, the Vice Chancellor, Professor M. Omar Rahman; Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Milan Pagon; Dean, School of Business, Professor Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed; and Other Deans from different schools handed over some token of appreciation to Professor Dr. Dilip Kumar Sen. The program was successfully moderated by Mis Sadia Haque, Sn. Lecturer, marketing, School of Business.
