The School of Business of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) implemented a Seminar titled “Technology and the New Frontier” on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the university campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka.
Ms.Sonia Bashir Kabir, Managing Director of Microsoft Bangladesh was the Key Speaker of the Seminar. Through an innovative and interactive presentation, Ms. Kabir emphasized on the revolution of technology and urged upon all concerned, especially the students to cope with the rapidly changing world. She also explained how technology is touching everyone’s life since its all about inclusiveness, Ms. Kabir stated.
Mr Rashed Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB and Prof M Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB, also spoke on the occasion. Dr Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business, introduced the Key Speaker to the audience while Dr Samiul Parvez Ahmed, Head of the Department of Finance delivered vote of thanks.
Trustees of the university, Prof. Milan Pagon, Pro Vice Chancellor (Designate), Deans of different Schools and senior faculty and staff members were present in the Seminar.
There was a lively question-answer session participated by IUB students from different disciplines.
