Work Experience

  • Worked as a lecturer in the Faculty of Business of American International University—Bangladesh (AIUB),(Duration: From March 2005 to August 2007).

Dr. Samiul Parvez Ahmed is an Associate Professor and the Head at the Department of Finance, School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE) at the Independent University, Bangladesh. He is also the Deputy Director in the Centre for Business Policy Research (CBPR), SBE. He completed his Doctorate and Master’s degree from the University of Bristol, UK and Bachelor’s degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. His research interests include financial analysis, investment, corporate social performance, banking and social policy. He is currently serving as the Associate Editor of the Independent Business Review (IBR) at SBE. He has authored more than 20 articles in various reputed journals including Sage Open, Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment, Global Business Review, Banks and Bank Systems, Journal of Development Areas, International Journal of Mobile Communications, and International Journal of Community Diversity. For his outstanding research work, he was selected in the honorable mention list in the Publication Excellence category in the Employee Recognition Awards—2020 at the IUB.
