School of Business organized an industrial tour with the initiative of Business Students’ Society (BSS) to Fakir Apparel located in BSCIC area Naranganj on March 19, 2016. Fakir Apparel is one of the largest readymade garment manufacturers in Bangladesh. It has a composite garment factory. In 2012, the company achieved the “Social Environmental Excellence Award” as one of the finest social compliance companies in Bangladesh. Fakir Apparel has been serving as the most iconic high street brands since 1998 including ESPIRIT, S. Oliver, C&A, H&M, Primark etc. Therefore, it was a great opportunity for the students doing ‘Apparel Marketing and Merchandising’ course to gain firsthand knowledge about apparel manufacturing and merchandising process.
