SCM 501: Principles of Supply Chain Management (3 credits)
A supply chain is defined as a set of three or more companies directly linked by one or more of the upstream and downstream flows of products, services, finances, and information from a source to a consumer. Supply chain management is the systemic, strategic coordination of the traditional business functions within a particular company and across businesses within a supply chain, for the purpose of improving the long-term performance of the individual companies and the supply chain as a whole. The major supply chain processes include planning, sourcing, making or converting, fulfillment, and relationships management. The major dimensions for evaluating the performance of supply chain processes and activities are time, cost, quality and compliance. This course covers the major activities of companies involved in profitably coordinating supply and demand in the marketplace to deliver consumer value.

SCM 510: Inventory and Warehouse Management (3 credits)
This course deals with all aspects of the inventory and warehouse operation. Participants will be introduced to issues of tracking, handling and managing goods and material that are held in stock. The course will also cover advanced stock control methods, demand planning as a tool for reduction of obsolescence and redundancy, methods for dealing with variety and proliferation, health and safety and others. By the end of this course, participants will be able to use advanced techniques in order to reduce inventory and associated storage and handling costs. Participants will also have covered material from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport unit on warehousing and inventory, and may be able to join a fast-track programme for this professional qualification if desired.

SCM 520: Procurement Management and Global Sourcing (3 credits)
This course introduces the fields of Procurement Management and Global Sourcing. It explores the central concepts of organizational procurement, global sourcing and interfaces of these to the other areas of an organization. This course provides opportunities to examine issues such as organizational procurement process, global sourcing process, supplier selection process, supplier management and other strategic issues.

SCM 530: Distribution and Logistics Management (3 credits)
Students examine the movement of raw materials and parts from the supplier to the manufacturer and the movement of finished products to the final consumer. An effective integration and optimization of each step in the process is emphasized. Topics include an introduction to business logistics; logistics strategy and planning; logistics product; third and fourth party logistics providers; customer services and order processing; transportation fundamentals including transportation modes, inter-model services, pricing, and other shipping terms and documentation; transportation decision making and modeling; warehouse and storage management; and distribution requirement planning

SCM 540: IT in Supply Chain Management (3 credits)
Supply chain management and business logistics deal with the physical distribution of goods and services. Today’s heavy dependence on the internet and E-commerce has made supply chain management central to business strategic planning. Supply chain management and logistics include the managing of acquisition, transportation, materials storage and handling, production scheduling, order processing, warehousing, and distribution both internally and among suppliers and customers. Thus, the focus of this course is on the planning and control of both physical and electronic distribution systems. The required planning and analysis will make use of the different computer models and E-commerce options.
In this course, students will learn to strategically think about integrated supply-chain, procurement, and service management strategies for organizations that rely, at least partially, on Internet and information technology to transact with suppliers and end consumers.

SCM 550: Sales and Operations Planning (3 credits)
This course provides an overview of sales and operation planning and Explain the role of sales and operations planning. SCM 560: Six Sigma and Lean Management (3 credits)
Today’s environment is very dynamic. Lean or six sigma approach in this dynamic environment cannot bring full potential to improvements if applied in isolation. Integration of Lean & Six Sigma ensures exceptional improvements. In this management approach, traditionally the lean methodology is used first to remove the waste in a process. Later, the Six Sigma tools are used to improve process variations. The course aims to focus on strategic development and management of integrated logistics.
