On 17th September, 2019 Department of Finance, School of Business and Independent Beta Elites, a club of Finance Department, hosted an event for the first year students to meet few Alumni leaders from the Department of Finance and launch the first ever student run magazine called “THE ANALYST”. This is the first of its kind which was initiated and materialized “By the Students, for the Community”.
This auspicious event was graced by the presence of Honorable Vice-Chancellor (Acting) of IUB Prof. Dr. Milan Pagon, and Dean, School of Business IUB, Prof. Dr.Mohd. Aminul Karim who shared their valuable insights on the magazine and about the program. Prof Dr. Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Samiul Parvez Ahmed, Prof Dr. Nadim Jahangir and other faculty members, Mohammad Fahad Noor, Zaima Ahmed and Anwar Zahid of the Department of Finance were present there in the event.
Alumni of the Department of Finance Mr. Rajesh Kumar Barua, Head of Retail Underwriting, BRAC Bank and Mr. Md. Mominul Hoque, Chief Investment Officer, Universal Finance Solutions Limited shared their knowledge and experience of corporate world to encourage and inspire the students of the Department of Finance about their career prospects in Bangladesh.
