“Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) is the APEX ICT Trade Body of Bangladesh. BASIS Students’ Forum (BSF) an initiative of BASIS cherishes the long term national vision of becoming a technology driven knowledge economy.” BASIS Students’ Forum is trying to engage young generation to inspire them for becoming future leader in technology driven economy. As a part of this initiative, they are now focusing on business students so that they can contribute to the ICT sector.
On 27th January, 2020 a formal inauguration ceremony of BSF IUB Chapter was held at IUB premise. Two speakers on behalf of BASIS Students’ Forum Mr. Nahid Hasan, Founder and CEO, Bizcope; Syeda Salma Jhumur, Director, Melonades Digital shared their experience to work in digital platform. Both of them have emphasized on participating the upcoming BASIS Soft Expo 2020, a big platform to engross IT based organizations and future leaders. Prof. Dr. Mohd. Aminul Karim, Dean, School of Business, IUB and Dr. Rezwanul Alam, Head, Dept. of Management Information Systems, School of Business thanked the speakers for their contribution. After that Md. Aminul Islam, Lecturer, Dept. of MIS also pooled his knowledge and made students’ understand about the importance of ICT Career Camp 2020, arranging by BASIS. Before ending the session, the team (BASIS Students’ Forum- IUB Chapter) was formally introduced with the participants. According to the agreement, team members will avail the following benefits:
