Nowadays, there is common question of every university student that “How to do well in the exam”? Most of them think that those who get good grades got some inborn talent and in consequence they are the only people who will keep doing great in the exam. To change this customarymindset from the student brain, The School of Business of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has organized a “Workshop on Study Skills” on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at IUB School of Business Lecture Gallery.The workshopwas organized specially to help students to improve their study skills.

Muhammad Munir, Quality Specialist, College of Business, Al Yamamah University in Saudi Arabia was the key note speaker of this workshop. He shared his knowledge on Study Habits of Successful Students, Importance/Urgent matrix, Class preparation and note taking skills, using mnemonics to improve memory and Dealing with procrastination. He also made the students do some exercises using the study skills materials.

Dr.Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean, School of Business, IUBhighlighted the issue on regular class attendance and class note taking during the class. He also advised the students to ask questions at any point to the faculty members, if they don’t understand any topic covered in the class.

The session was finally wrapped up by Mr. Arifur Rahman Khan, Lecturer, School of Business, IUBthanking the honorable guest in being part of this workshop. Lastly, the seminar ended with a question and answer session.
