The Department of Economics, School of Business, Independent University, Bangladesh organized a seminar on “ Contract Theory, Property Rights and Economic Outcomes” on March 9, 2017 in its own campus at Bashundhara, Dhaka. The Head of The Dept. of Economics Prof. Aminur Rahman welcomed the speaker Dr. Rezwan Haque, PhD (Harvard) of Cornerstone Research, Boston, USA to present his deliberation on the topic.

Deans and Heads of different departments and a large number of students attended the seminar. Our honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Omar Rahman graced the seminar as the chief guest. Prof. Millan Pagon, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Independent University, Bangladesh also attended the seminar. Our Vice Chancellor was very much appreciative of the talk and underscore the need for such seminar for the benefits of faculty and students. He also mentioned that knowledge of these theories can improve our understanding of different contracts in different sphere of lives.

A lively question-answer session took place after the deliberation by Dr. Haque. Prof. M. Omar Rahman presented a crest to the honorable speaker and thanked him for coming to IUB and delivering this valuable speech for the faculty and students.
