Independent Economic Society (IES) under the Department of Economics, IUB organized a quiz
competition “Brain Teasers 3” on March 22 and 23, 2017 at its own campus at Bashundhara. There
were 25 participating teams, each consisting of three members. The questions of the First Round
Quiz was based on General Knowledge and Mathematics. Four teams out of the 25 teams were
selected for the Second Round Quiz. In the Second Round, the teams were shown a documentary
about Bangladesh Economic Transition. Finally, the two top scoring teams were selected as the
champions and runners-up. The Second Round was followed by Prize Giving Ceremony.
Professor. Aminur Rahman, Head of the Department of Economics together with Dr. M. Osman
Gani, Associate professor, Economics delivered speeches and awarded crests and certificates to
the champions and the runner-ups. The ceremony concluded with a photo session.
