The Department of International Business and Independent International Business Forum (IIBF) of the School of Business at the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) arranged a seminar titled “Emerging Regional and Global Perspectives in Economy and Business: ‘How’ or ‘What’ Should Matter for Bangladeshi Youth?” on 26th February, 2019 at IUB Multipurpose Hall. The speaker at the seminar was H. E. Mr. Riaz Hamidullah, High Commissioner of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The Vice Chancellor Professor M. Omar Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Milan Pagon, Dean of the School of Business Professor Dr. Mohd. Aminul Karim were among the many present at the seminar.
H. E. Mr. Riaz Hamidullah, during his talk, articulated the impact of the fourth industrial revolution, sharing his experience and advise about the changing employment scenario worldwide, including Bangladesh, with faculties and students present at the seminar. Later he advised the students on how to prioritize and shape their careers, not just with innovation and technology, but also with ethics and transparency.
The seminar was also addressed by Professor M. Omar Rahman and Professor Mohd. Aminul Karim. Later, the Vice Chancellor, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, and the Dean of the School of Business presented a crest to the speaker and commended him for sharing his vision, insights, and pragmatic advices with everyone present.
