The Department of Human Resource Management, School of Business, IUB organized an industrial trip to the Rose Garden Apparels Ltd. as a partial requirement for the course titled “Industrial Law & Relations” on 2nd March, 2019. Rose Garden Apparels Ltd. is one of the leading readymade garment manufacturing factories in Bangladesh. The main objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to the students about different issues of industrial relations and Bangladesh Labor Law.
The tour was scheduled to visit different areas of the factory followed by an interactive question-answer session. Mr. Jubaer Hossain Asif, Director (Sales & Marketing) and Mr. Md Abdur Rouf, HR & Compliance manager thoroughly explained different labor issues. In particular, they spoke about labor unrest, accord, alliance, revised wages and GSP issues. Indeed, it was a great opportunity for students to explore and gain practical knowledge of labor and industrial relations. The whole team was led by the Head and faculty members of Department of HRM and student coordinators of Independent HR Society (IHRS), School of Business, IUB.
