The Department of Economics, School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized an alumni meet-up session on 2nd January 2022. The session guest for the event was Professor Osama Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Education, and Professor in Practice, University of Surrey. He is an IUB graduate from the batch of 95.
Professor Meherun Ahmed, Dean School of Business and Entrepreneurship, IUB and Dr. Shahriar Kabir, Head Department of Economics, SBE, IUB along with faculty members and students of the Department of Economics were present at the event.
The session began with the introductory speech of Professor Meherun Ahmed, Dean School of Business and Entrepreneurship, IUB. Professor Osama Khan then shared his remarkable journey and also provided valuable guidance for students interested in pursuing higher education abroad. He kept the audience completely hooked throughout the session. His speech was followed by a lively question and answer session in which the faculty members and students participated with great enthusiasm. The session was ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Shahriar Kabir, Head Department of Economics, SBE, IUB and handing over a token of appreciation to Professor Osama Khan.
